April
April is a bitter-sweet time at the mountain as the last full month of 24/25 season has commenced. Roads start to clear up, traffic usually mellows out for us Portland-siders, variable snow surfaces are the norm, you may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one that knows there’s still a lot of fun to be had at ‘Your Mountain Home’. Check out the Spring Event schedule below to see what’s in store for the remainder of the 24/25 ski season!

Summer Job Board
Since not all businesses are able to attend the event, and Job hunting can take several days, we’ve updated (and will continue to update!) the summer job board found on our team site.
We know job searching can be stressful and you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, and utilize the resources we’re providing, you just might find exactly what you are looking for.
With the legwork already completed, this is an ideal place to explore local employment opportunities for the off-season.

MHM in the News
Shout out to Allison and the rest of the grooming team for always laying down the finest corduroy and leaving our slopes in tip-top shape. All while the majority of us are in bed dreaming about powder turns.
Thanks for turning our rugged mountain into a winter paradise!

Seasonal Transitions - Be Here Now
In classic Northwest style, Spring’s making it’s move against Winter, faltering at first but getting stronger. One thing is certain: This operating season is nearing its close.
For many of us, that means getting ready for the Next Thing: Guiding Rafts, Crewing Fishing Boats, working hospitality in National Parks…
Whatever your next gig may turn out to be, chances are you’re already halfway there in your mind – planning, visualizing, getting ready. That’s natural and exciting. But please remember – your body is still here a bit longer, perched aside a slippery mountain under ever-changing conditions. From slush on the slopes to black ice in the mornings, hazards here are still very present.
The least helpful thing at this point is to get injured just as you are about to move to a new summer role – a role that needs you fully intact! Shifty conditions and thoughts residing elsewhere have historically led to a surge of injuries at the tail-end of our season. Let’s pledge now to watch each other’s backs and dodge the trap of late season complacency! Work to mindfully stay with your body and keep it safe as we wind things down.
