A huge thank you to everyone for being flexible and putting in the extra effort to help us with our earliest opening in 15 years!
While we got a helping hand from mother nature, without everyone’s hard work and resiliency we would not be getting powder laps in before Thanksgiving.

Join us in welcoming our newest nordic center supervisor
Nordic is stoked to Welcome Home our new Nordic Center Operations Supervisor! Please join me in welcoming Ben Dyke to our team!
Ben comes to us from Summit and Timberline, where he handled rentals and had many other roles. Here’s a bit more about him in his own words:
“I am originally from Virginia but lived in West Virginia for 20 years before moving to Oregon approximately 5 years ago. Growing up in the east I learned to ski and snowboard at various small resorts, one named Ski Liberty and the other Whitetail- both about an hour or so from the Washington DC area.
I moved to Oregon with my partner to fulfill a life long dream of working and playing on a major mountain in the west. For the last 4 years, I have been employed on the mountain living in Sandy. This summer, we moved to Parkdale with our dog, Maggie May.
This will be my first season working for Meadows and also my first season working specifically with the Nordic center. I am excited to be immersed in a new winter sport and meet everyone who has contributed to the different winter programs that are offered at the Nordic center.”

New traffic signal coming soon!
Anyone that has worked at Mt Hood Meadows for a season can probably tell you about encountering cars coming in and out of the Sunrise Parking lot. This intersection is built on a corner that makes it difficult to see oncoming traffic. It is also on a hill that can make getting started on a snow or ice packed road difficult.
Starting December 15th, we will be installing a new traffic light in the Sunrise intersection to aid cars leaving the parking lot. When traffic is stopped on the access road cars exiting Sunrise will not need to stop to go up hill. It will also aid in reducing cashes due to the blind corner. Be on the lookout for this traffic light and please obey the signal
Purchase your sno-park permit for this season
Sno-Parks Permits are now required in all Mt. Hood Meadows Parking Lots from Nov 1 – April 30
