Tenure Recognition Program

We are excited to have started a new and ongoing program this season which will recognize our long tenured team members. We kicked it off with a special recognition dinner on the evening of February 3rd where team members who have been with us for 15 years or longer were recognized and celebrated for their ongoing contributions.

I don’t know but I’ve been told, you never slow down, you never grow old when you work at a wonderful place with wonderful people. Enjoy the following slideshow (of just a handful of our longest tenured team members) as an attestation of this theory.

Additional recognition events will take place towards the end of the season for team members who have been spreading the stoke for five years or longer.

Kelly Miller, Kyle Skutch, Marsha Eibert, Cale Rice and Angella Heiber
Aaron Basham, Richard Mario, and Ashley Carpenter
Marshall Woods and Danby Bell
John Bain, Sue Overby and Brad Van Natta
Bill Baker, Fred Russell and Patricio Ramos Pino
Wes Baumann and John Luhan
Jeremy Riss, Brian Beardsley, Mark Fellows, Rolando Aquilizan and Roxanne McClure
Doug Burke, Tyler Barnes, Michael Quinnett and Ellisa Fellows
Stu Fadness, Ralph Dougherty, Robin Chapin, Mike Drake and Kent Fellows
Heidi Logosz, Mel Toney and Derrick Gibbs
Danton Kraig Batty, Paul Sunderland and Jim Ferrell
Barb Gerhardt, Paul Klein and Paul Thomson
The Belmont's

While the recognition dinner event was surely a good time for everyone involved, we realize a lot of our dedicated (eligible) team members could not make it. For those of you who were unable to attend, please stop by the HR office at your earliest convenience to pick up your recognition gifts.

Congratulations to Wes Baumann for being this months Toyota Stoke winner!

Wes has provided consistent, levelheaded leadership to the patrol team and mountain operations for many years.  This season is no different; always giving calm and clear guidance through any difficult, stressful, or tense situation.

Thank you Wes!

The park will be open from 12 – 9 PM with music and a raffle at 5 PM. Prizes from Yes, DaKine, Ilusive, Oakley and Stance. Come jam out!

Heather is Back in Business!

While it wasn’t all bad having the chair down, more stashes for those of us willing to take a walk on the wild side, we’re very excited to have the Heather chair up and running again.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank all parties involved for putting in the work to make this happen despite being faced with inclement weather.

Huge shoutout to our lift maintenance, lift operations and ski patrol teams, and everyone else who contributed to getting the terrain ready and chair fixed and running in the dead of the winter!

Pride Day on the Mountain

Join us for Pride Day on March 2nd from 9 am-4 pm at Mt. Hood Meadows!

This is a day on Mt. Hood to celebrate all things pride at Your Mountain Home with our sponsors Migration Brewing and 503 Distilling. We will have a family-friendly party going on in Vertical, as well as beer and cocktails, raffles and more

Shout out to Transportation and Parking Teams!

It looks like the snow dances have been paying off and while this is fantastic news, it’s certainly added some pressure to our front-line team members.

Huge shout out to Ann Gilbert, Jess Zerfing and their respective teams for stepping up to the plate and keeping people moving safely in these trepidatious driving conditions. All this with a smile on their faces despite working abnormally long hours to assure the safety of our team members and customers.
