February is Upon Us
January wasn’t our best month, but it was still a good one! The heat was hot, the ground was dry, but the air was full of sound thanks to everyone keeping the stoke high and showing up even when mother nature didn’t!
But Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, giving us six more weeks of winter and lining us up perfectly for that miracle march we’ve all been hoping for!
Keep doing those dances folks the best is yet to come!
Thank you Tranportation Team!
Huge shout out to Ann Gilbert and her excellent Team this season, you guys are absolutely crushing it!
I wanted to share this account from a team member after the Team Party last week:
The day after the party, HR received a report that Ray went above and beyond for one of our team members after dropping off our team from the event. Ray found a team members keys on the bus and went out of his way to drop them off at their hotel! In doing so, the team member Ray helped out felt seen, valued and supported. Their bus driver knows their passengers well enough to know where they are staying and cares enough to spend additional time to get their belongings back to them. What a great example of a Meadows team member, Ray truly exhibits our Core Value of Belonging, making sure team members feel like they are a part of the crew and belong at Your Mountain Home.
Thank you to Russell, Ray, and Tovah for providing rides after the Team Party and always going the extra mile to keep the team safe and on time!

Our ideal candidate is adaptable, dependable, and committed to excellence, ready to deliver great food and great experiences, no matter the season.
Safety Corner
A big thank you for looking out for each other so far this season! In safety committee meetings and through our reporting system, I’ve seen many examples of real concern – proof that we’re aware of lurking hazards and committed to doing something about them! Expect some fresh signage in a couple trouble spots in the lodges, as well as reminders about our favorite Antarctic bird that doesn’t fly so well but really knows how to walk!
That black throated wind kept on pourin’ in, but one way or another, this high pressure bubble’s got to give. When the dump drops and the slopes are again packed with guests, take a moment to remember that YOU are essential to US – self-care is also caring for your work pals. In the PNW, The Flu tends to hit in March – did you get your shot yet? Many pharmacies (and grocery stores with pharmacies) do free drop-in vaccinations. Speaking of coming snow and self-care, there’s nothing like passion to warm your spirit and boost your immunity.
Suggested passion: Snowsports! If your skis are dusty, and you’re a li’l droopy from too much sunshine, now’s the time to GET SHREDDY! Check out our in-house set of tips, warmups, and conditioning exercises in Eloomi.

Year End Forms - Not Just For Years End
We get a lot of calls asking how to access year end forms, pay statements, change address, etc.
Though we love speaking with everyone, I figured we could answer some of these questions in bulk instead of waiting for them to come in one-by-one.
To access your W2’s and pay statements:
- Navigate to the “Earnings” tab in Dayforce from a non-mobile device.
- Your most recent pay-statements will be at the top of the screen
- For w2’s – select the “Year end Forms” tab
To Change your address, update your payroll information, etc:
- Navigate to the “Forms” page by finding and selecting the Forms button (on the top right of the page)
- Under the “Personal” drop down you will find options for Address, Contact Details, Direct Deposit, etc.
- Select the relevant option, enter the new information and hit submit.

Slopeside Sagacity
Around the mountain, you hear some pretty great things; thoughtful, funny, honest, words of encouragement and everything in between. I asked your coworkers, “If you could say anything to the whole team (completely anonymously), what would it be?”
Here’s what was shared by the crew!
“Let your life proceed by its own design”
“Friendship and solidarity is how we create a better, more cohesive team.”
“Life it pretty fragile, so get on it! This week: tell someone you don’t know, but who you appreciate, that they’re doing a good job and that you noticed.”
“Burn your ski’s & pray for snow”
“Crazy sales going on in the HPC – kid’s gear, ski’s, boards, etc. up to 60% off!”
“There is no fruit that it not bitter before it is ripe”
“If we want things to stay as they are (were), things will have to change”
“The sun has been here a little to long, and the tulips are a little too early. The skiers however, keep their stoke strong and dream of the next coming flurries. Waxed up boards and waterproof gear, cannot predict the weather. One things for sure as we walk through the doors, we’re happy at Mt. Hood together!”
