Welcome Back Winter!
Winter showed up fashionably late, but dang, did it make an entrance! After a stretch of waiting and watching the forecast, the recent rounds of snow have transformed the mountain, fresh coats on the trees, soft turns underfoot, and that unmistakable mid-season glow we love to see. There’s nothing quite like driving up and seeing the slopes shining white again.
With the return of winter conditions come a few important calendar notes. Our 5-day-a-week night operations wrap up on March 1st, so if you’ve been meaning to grab those after-work laps under the lights, now’s the time. We’ll keep the stoke going with a bonus weekend of night skiing on March 7th & 8th – also our final Peak Days of the season. It’s the perfect sendoff to extended hours before we shift into spring mode.
And right on cue, Daylight Saving Time begins March 8th, giving us longer, brighter evenings and a gentle nudge toward spring. But for now? It looks like winter, it feels like winter and there’s plenty of season left to enjoy.

Guest Survey Comments
Despite the low snow we’ve received so many positive guest comments!
A few patterns that really stood out:
Nick Adams – You and your team are absolutely crushing it with the parks this year, comment after comment praising your team for the great work!
Allison Marriner – You guys have done a phenomenal job this season making something out of (nearly) nothing, it hasn’t gone unnoticed, thank you for all you do to keep things rideable!
A handful of these comments are posted below:
“Parks are so so so so good right now. Keep it up”
“Low tide, but super fun. Park crew and lift crew are awesome!”
“Park crew is killing it this year, thanks for working w/ what little snow we have. Vista is sick!”
“The groomers deserve some sort of medal for the incredible job that they have done with very little snow!”
“You did great, it was the snows fault”
“While I blame Meadows for not doing enough snow dances in the early season, I am truly amazed at the job every employee is doing to make these ski days so enjoyable. I have friends who don’t want to ski because of the low snowpack. I keep telling them that every day is truly a fun day up here.”
“Considering the amount of snow, the grooming team is doing an absolutely exceptional job of keeping everything running”
“The people working at the rental area were awesome”
“I deeply appreciate how hard everyone at Meadows is working to keep the slopes open in spite of the weather / lack of snow. The new food options in Sahale are on point. I like the Indian inspired dishes. The coconut macadamia cookies are something I look forward to at the end of every day on the slopes.”
“I just want to share that Drew and the other staff in the high-performance shop were fantastic. I needed a ski adjusted and they showed me that it actually needed to be the binding needed to be remounted. Quoted me a price on that got me fitted up with demo skis so I wouldn’t miss out on skiing for the day and did it all in a super friendly super efficient way I couldn’t be happier with the experience.”
“My 6 year old had her first ski lesson as a type 1 diabetic. The ski school was extremely supportive and amazing, and her instructor Matt was incredible. She had the best time and we would love to come back to have Matt as her instructor again”

Find the Frame Challenge
We tested this out over the summer with Where in the Woods, and with the positive feedback (and some fresh snow in the forecast!), it’s time to bring it to the winter season.
What it is: Each edition will feature a photo of a spot somewhere on our mountain — a waterfall, rock outcropping, scenic view, trail section, or other recognizable feature, along with a clue or two to help narrow it down.
Think you know where it is? Head out, find the location, recreate the shot (same angle or close to it), and send it in, or swing by HR and show off your photo to win!
