My pay rate was never updated when I was promoted. I was told that the balance would be credited on my next check and it was not. Can I start charging interest? Kind of sucks when you make 16/hr but actually made 13/hr and thought you were owed more but work so much that you don't have the time to do all of the math. Anyway, Meadows owes me more than 1k and it blows so please cut a check and I will mobile deposit it tomorrow. I know you all work hard too but this is kind of bullshit.
I think we got this taken care of today. Sorry to hear of this mistake.

I would like to give a few shout outs to crews and individuals that have made my job much more enjoyable and much less stressful this year.
Firstly I would like to thank Graham Place and the entire Lift Operations Night Crew for doing an exemplary job this season. Not only have I been impressed with the work ethic and competence of this crew as a whole, but I have been equally impressed with the willingness of many individuals to step outside their routine tasks to learn from, and assist Lift Maintenance when necessary. I have a relatively small crew at night and as such, extra hands are always awesome. Graham in particular has run a really tight ship and has provided solid and consistent leadership and training.
Second, I would like to thank Scott Walker and Ian Sherrod for all the hard work and assistance that the Electrical Department has given me this year. In the past having a Lift Electrician on Nights was spotty or non existent. It is huge load off my mind to have this sort of experienced resource available just a radio call away.
Third, but not last, I would like to thank our fearless leader, Jake B. for coming and checking in with us the other night. It means a lot and is much appreciated.
Keep up the Good Work,
Micah G. McNulty
Lift Maintenance Supervisor
I came up and spent a few hours with my kids last week. I want to give some shoutouts to the following departments.
1. Rentals- My experience in rentals was awesome. MBJ and his team were FANTASTIC. They were quick, professional and pleasant. They took the time to size my kids properly and made sure they also had the right gear. It was a great experience.
2. Learning Center-Specificially Josie Rice and LIzzie Dugger. Josie let me know about a manager perk that I had been previously unaware of! I was playing with Mila and Roman in the Fun Zone area and LIzzie Dugger helped my kids a few time and was extremely happy and friendly. Great attitude and experience.
3. Lift Ops- I know I may be biased on this one :)- Meredith Pinedo and Lauren Cashman at the Ballroom Carpet. They were great with all of the guests and with my kids. It was great to be able to enjoy the time there while I was taking a break from work. There was also an instructor at the bottom doing maze control, unfortunately I forgot what his name was but he was great!
4.Parks-TJ and his crew have built absolutely epic parks this year. The guest comments I hear are bascially without end. Him and his team deserve high praises.
It was great to spend several hours experiencing the mountain as a guest and not once did I feel stressed out or unhappy. Everything was operating smoothly and i had a great experience.

Good morning. I have noticed a large number of ski school lessons and instructors riding heather chair today. I’m stoked to see them progressing as such. My concern comes about with there safety. As a member of the Mt hood family that drops into the canyon in uniform I am required to have a becon transmitter. Same with my patrollers and my maintience. It concerns me they do not wear such devices and even more concerning is they are taking young kids, no more than 13 years old in the canyon who are I’m assuming paying for these lessons and the instructors are placing them into dangers way and have no resource to find/ unbury them. I also just spoke to a racing coach (in uniform) she carries her personal but is aware that her team is not carrying them. I would just hate to see the worst case scenereo and felt I need to voice my oppion. Thanks and hope i am just miss informed in some way.
Thank you for sharing this. There are many hidden and obvious dangers in Heather Canyon. I will look into our policy about taking students into Heather Canyon.

I'm very thankful and appreciative of the high end ski/snowboard improvement clinics offered at 3:45 daily. These clinic add tremendous value. I give a hat tip to my co-workers (instructors) who come with a great attitude to work, will gladly co-teach a lesson, will eagerly do a split, and understand that collectively when we work together, we make stronger team. Thankful to be teaching here.
I am so thankful for instructor team members like you, too! We are here to enrich our guest's and team member's lives. I really enjoy leading and participating in the afternoon clinics too!

Employee parking. Night shift employees are constantly having to park in the HRM lot on weekends, and then try and get a ride with either parking or DPS. I don't know the reasoning behind not offering employee parking or taking care of the employees. I noticed there is now a walkway that goes up the middle of the main lot, taking up parking spots. If you can spare parking spots for a walkway, when a walkway was never an issue, you can surely reserve spots for employee parking, which is a big issue. Thanks.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the topic of employee parking and the new walk way initiative. We have implemented the walkway as a means of providing a safe space for guests and employees to maneuver the parking lot. While this might seem like a sore trade-off for a handful of parking spots, the reality is that the # 1 insurance claim for ski resorts involve slips and falls, most of which take place in the parking lot. When you combine this data with the end of day traffic congestion, icy roads, and pedestrians, we are just asking for a serious accident to happen. Our goal is to identify problems in our parking lots and create solutions for those issues. If you have any feedback on how we could provide this safe space without losing parking spots, I would very much appreciate to hear you ideas.
While I do understand that it is inconvenient to park at HRM and manage to catch a shuttle back to your vehicle at the end of the evening, the reason we don’t provide specific employee parking is because we are striving towards the core value of sustainability. By pushing employees to utilize the employee transportation provided, we hope to not only reduce our carbon footprint, but also to reduce congestion on the highway, and put a little extra cash in our teams pockets (gas costs). If you feel that you have a specific need that prevents you from taking the employee transportation, feel free to discuss your situation with your department manager and we can try to find a solution.
