Covid Testing Updates:

Update on OSHA's Emergency Temporary Standards:

If you have signed off on the Vaccine Policy and submitted your vaccination records, you will receive the incentive on the first payroll of January if you remain active with the company.

If you have not signed the policy and submitted your vaccine records or opted into weekly testing, please complete this at your earliest convenience. If you need onboarding assistance, please email: jobs@skihood.com.

For Team Members who have opted into weekly testing, the Covid Response Team has been working through the logistics of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) requirements to protect all employees of large employers from the risk of contracting COVID-19 in the workplace.

Currently Weekly Testing Options (subject to change with new information):

  • Weekly testing begins around Jan. 4
    • If scheduled to work Jan 4th weekly test needs completed no earlier than Dec. 28th.
    • Ongoing testing is no more than 7 days before your next scheduled day of work.

Purchasing Tests will be Team Member’s responsibility. The Biden administration said it would soon require private health insurers to cover the cost of at-home Covid-19 tests. More information is expected around January 15th. Likely no repayments of previous purchases however, keep receipts as this could change.

FDA Approved at Home Testing Kits:
– Abbott’s BinaxNow
– Quidel’s QuickVue

  • Testing Options:
    • Testing Center: You receive a test from a pharmacy (Walgreens/Rite Aid), Primary Care, Oregon Health Authority, or at home test with a Virtual Care Provider. You will email your test results to covid@skihood.com.
    • Home Testing: You will schedule a virtual appointment (video required) with a Covid Response Team Member and take an FDA approved test from home in front of the CRT Member and show the results. The scheduling link will be available soon on the Team Site.
    • Onsite Testing:  There will be limited spots available for team members to test onsite at Mt. Hood Meadows only.
Scheduling will be available only on Thursdays 12pm to 4pm & Fridays 12pm to 2pm & 3-4pm. This will be by appointment only. The scheduling link will be available soon on the Team Site.
  • Managers will be notified when a team member is not available for work if weekly testing is not completed.

As we near January 4th, we will keep you updated on any new information, the scheduling process for submitting test results, and next steps. You can find specific details on OSHA’s ETS and the testing requirements here.
