I think the new bus schedule is ridiculous. This means everyone in Hood River will have to wake up a minimum of half an hour earlier to catch the first bus. I really wish the bus schedule wasn't changing.
Change is tough and we recognize that the new schedule might be an upset for some. But its important to remember that it is a benefit to others. There have been employees arriving at the lodge 2 hours before their shifts even start. In the name of progress we have to give and take on both sides in order to reach new heights.

This week went smoothly at Star and Buttercup. The new tablets are unreliable on busy peak days, the old ones we have are still very usable, but are also slowly dieing.
Dispatch supervisors should have a supervisor discount.
The new lift speakers are hugely appreciated at any where they're at, people love the tunes.
The new tablets seem to be working much better now. As with all new things, sometimes we just need a little time to iron out the wrinkles. The Dispatch Supervisor should be getting a discount. If that’s not the case please see me. Music is awesome, especially when it is family friendly! Thank Mel for allowing us to get a couple of replacements while our other ones are getting warrantied. We should have the new parts for our old speakers in the next 2-3 weeks and we will be able to get them back out to the lifts.

When I was hired, I was told I would be able to use the employee bus for free to get to work. Now that you are charging and took away my stop I will probably have to quit as I cannot afford to pay money to get to work everyday.
The employee shuttle continues to remain a free service, and is now also free for the public. I am sorry that the stop that you originally used has been removed. I would be more than happy to discuss options of how we might be able to accommodate your needs. Feel free to call me and we can brainstorm together.

Person Capable of Facility Maintenance that is willing to work, listen to direction, and get dirty. That speaks fluent English or offer a Spanish class. It would be nice to learn Spanish so that I could have better communication. I love my job and everyone I work with there all great people.
Big thanks to grooming for getting and keeping us open.
We are are feeling the effects of significant turnover in our department. The burden placed on experienced patrollers is increased and the quality of our work is decreased. I hope we can retain more staff this season.
Thanks for speaking up. This forum, as well as the annual spring team member opinion survey, are mechanisms by which our company can glimpse employee satisfaction and the potential for retention problems. I am committed to helping our leadership team recognize the trends within this feedback. In the meantime, I appreciate the strong effort that our senior patrollers are putting into training our new hires. This rookie training is making the most of a slow start to the season. Thank you to the rest of patrol whose continuing training and growth is currently taking aback seat to rookie development.
The nature of the Patrol job requires time on the hill, growing skills and learning terrain. This can’t be rushed and we will continue to feel the effect of high turnover for a while. Some of this is inevitable, but I hope we can minimize this operational drag in future season by paying attention to your comments.

Nuts and bolts day went very well , good job.
This is great to hear. Jillianne has been instrumental in creating this training information. - Tyler Barnes, MLC Ops & Training Manager
Vests are dope! When will the wellness program (massage, chiropractor) start ? Haven’t heard anything! Our shoveled out shoulders need some TLC 🙂
Yes the vests are dope! You can thank Lara in HR for these! I believe the wellness offerings are going to start in January. Keep an eye out in the employee new letter for those updates.

Everything is going extremely well in lift ops this season! We have a great staff, good equipment, supportive managers and the cooperation from other departments have been great so far this season. Seriously very proud of the entire MHM team!
Thanks for speaking up and leaving your name. I am sure your situation is not perfect but looking for the positive makes it easier to be solution-minded for areas that you have ideas to improve on. Looking forward to your contributions. - Matt Troskey
More than 2 hand dryers in a restroom with 12 sinks my suggestion so far. Hand sanitizer, kleenex at work stations, clean/vacuum in the actual work areas behind desk.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Hand sanitizer and kleenex should be at all the Guest Services points of sale, if it is missing from one please let your Supervisor know. As for cleaning and vacuuming behind the work areas that is definitely doable but I think department team members can easily vacuum that area vs. having janitorial do it.

It has been fun to get out on the snow and filling the guests with stoke. Nice to see more snow too.
