Trade all the yellow cats for red ones 🙂
I got a couple of rides to the lodge from Ralph (I think that was his name). He is awesome!! Super nice guy, friendly and helpful. He's been driving for 20+ years and still have a great attitude and really likes what he's doing. Cheers to Ralph!!
Agreed Ralph is a rock start!

Would be better if certain section 1 supervisors weren't as rude and didn't take they're position to belittle and undermine the crews
Early loads in lift ops is terrible. We have to bust our asses off for people who are either rude to us or don't even show up. They add so much additional stress to our jobs. Take a random poll within lift ops, I can almost guarantee that 100% of the department would agree that the job would be better without them. Everyone I know who has to bend over backwards for early regardless of department, hates it and all of the racers. I know you say your employees come first but it feels pretty hypocritical that we continue to support the racers at the cost of the wellness of our team. I think it is time to either clarify to the team that they come after ski racers or to do something about this huge stresser.
Thank you for sharing your teams struggles with providing this important service each weekend. Please know how much I do appreciate your extra efforts and I do agree with you that many, but not all seem to take this as a right and not as a privilege. There are several reasons why we offer this service including; he safety of the hill and the courses that teams are responsible for setting up in a timely manner, making sure that coaches are back with their athletes to inspect the race courses in a controlled environment and not just skiing on their own with no supervision as well as getting our closed areas open as soon as it is possible for the rest of our guests. We will be rewriting our policies to make sure that these guest are respectful of our Code of Conduct, thankful and timely when allowed this privilege and we will see if we can provide your team additional resources so that we can continue to provide early load opportunities in the future.

I love my job and I have held many jobs in my working life. The only bad part of my job is losing friends that I have made here! I know this is a seasonal job, people come and go and its all part of it. Working at Meadows has been great, we are like one big family!
Totally agree. But it's so awesome to see everyone in the Fall when they return. It's like a family reunion. Join us again next season.

Some how we need to promote our March Snow Blasters program. This year and last March turn out for the kids is dismal, we have 12 or 14 kids this March session and last year we had 10. However the year before we had over 100 kids for the Sunday March session. So what happened? Maybe we need a little more advertising? Price adjustment, promote it more to the January and February session parents? Plus I think we should charge a bit more for the February Sunday session as it was 240+ kids on Sundays versus 150ish for Saturday.
We'd love to have more Blasters in March! We actually have more kids in the multi-week session this year than last. You may be thinking about a few seasons ago when we had a huge makeup day in March from January and February programs - we've never had that many in the March program. Historically we've seen 2014: 12 | 2015: 8 | 2016: 11 | 2017: 9 | 2018: 12 | 2019: 14. Certainly there's room for growth. One thing we compete with is Spring sports - a lot of kids are signed up for other sports in the March making a multi-week program difficult for families to commit to.
