I would like a response to the questions from last survey period about the radio reception in the Clark drainage, Private Reserve and Vista Area. Thank you in advance for your response.
I echo the poor quanity and quality comments about Uniforms. Also another note about that is HH trial uniforms are absolute garbage, terrible fitting for everybody and does not allows us to ware a radio harness/beacon under a jacket. Who designed this stuff? If you would like performance and hardworking employees they need to be able to stay warm and dry while outside for extended periods of time in harsh weather, this means good quality uniforms... not uniforms that have lost their weatherproofing/ have holes in them.
Also, I see incentives for those that carpool or take the bus. What about incentives for those with start times that don’t allow carpooling or MHM transportation. Pay is not increased to match cost of gas or wear and tear on a vehicle, in fact we need to buy a snow park pass.
Thank you for using this and all forums to push for radio system improvements. Some things are easily fixable, others require major upgrades. We did have a big problem with radios earlier this year when the antenna on our repeater (on top of Star) was broken and took a while to troubleshoot and repair. Since that time we’ve been replacing broken pieces of our portable CP200s and older batteries, and our radios seem to me to be working on par with previous seasons. I have been testing reception on a CP200d with an aftermarket stubby antenna. Our system seems to be working adequately everywhere I’ve tested it (haven’t been to base of Accordian) including bottom of God’s and all of in-bounds Vista. We need your help to address radio issues: Please continue to monitor the exact conditions and equipment under which unreadable transmissions take place in order to identify specifics – some of which are easily fixable – other instances we must document to know how badly a digital repeater system may be needed.
Patrol will be sticking with Patagonia for our uniforms. The HH demo was appreciated and clarified just how good we have it in Patagonia shells. I’m sorry that we have run out of older style medium pants and that the replacement versions this year came in skinnier and taller and do not work for many of us. We will be placing an order to replacement uniform pieces to address this issue. Are there other uniform items that we are short on? I haven’t heard this. Please let me know if so.
Please keep in mind that the early HR employee bus gets you to the mountain with lots of time to drink coffee before our 7am show ups.

I have always been curious about why the bathroom located in the employee break area is only for directors and managers of facility maintenance and culinary services. This is concerning to me that these "team members" have a private bathroom to themselves. Doesn't feel like much of a team effort? Unless you are a director or manager of one of these two departments. How do I get transferred into one of this inclusive club so I can have my own bathroom too?

I’ve truly enjoyed working with our team.
I love the concept behind the $30.00 Toyota Learn To Ride program, however I was a little disappointed to hear that is has been extended past nights. If you spent a minute on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Rental center you would recognize how much of a stresser this program is on our evening rental staff. Many of us have to forfeit our breaks to ensure all equipment is pre-teched/ returned for this program, and it is generally an overwhelming amount of gear to prepare on such a small scale staff. Particularly this last Saturday, 3/2, when we didn't even receive help from ski school staff. I think that the staff that has to lose breaks and be overloaded with 200+ sets of equipment deserve some sort of recognition, or at least an opinion regarding the extension of this program. I think it's great that we're encouraging families that would't often come ride to learn a new sport, but I think its heavily trying on those who have to prepare this equipment and are often on the rough side of conversations about the process. It's not fun having to be the person telling the guest who purchased a lesson at full price that we're prioritizing someone who spent $15.00 on a lesson. It doesn't show integrity towards our guests, nor the staff that has to explain such situations to angry guests. It's a lot better than it was last year, but this program needs a lot more work if you plan on continuing it.
Thanks for the comment. See my earlier response that addressed some of these issues. And I agree with you that we need to make improvements or adjustments if we want to successfully continue the program.

Amazing team!
I love the team, very forward thinking always looking to be progressive have met some very awesome people and everyone is so willing to jump in and offer solutions to keep the day to day moving
FOOD. My stomach is not a sensitive one, but the Schus Grill has made me throwing up ill 2 times this season. This is not just me, this is multiple people in my department, and I know this subject is not a new one.... I do not know if its an issue with the food itself, or how the grills and things are being cleaned, but I can guarantee a messed up stomach from eating at the Schuss. Honestly, it scares me a little bit when I'm here at night and I have to go to the Schuss. Fresh tracks and higher grounds deli sandys are great!! but it only stays open until 2:30, even on weekends this doesnt really make sense to me. Next season I would love to see healthier options later at night, whether that be having fresh tracks open a little longer, or healthier options at the schuss. I would also love to see a little higher quality food in the schuss. The chicken jiggles. Chicken shouldn't jiggle. I think its awesome that you locally source a lot of your beef, can we do that with the chicken?! Please someone read this and respond my stomach begs you.
Thanks for your comments. I am sorry you have been having some stomach issues. I would not know what would be causing your specific problem, but I really have not heard of any issues that would indicate we have any major problems there. I say this because guests would let me know…we serve 3,500 folks in the Schuss on a peak day…over 10,000 in a week. I know I would hear from folks if there was some major issue occurring. That said, if you ever get sick after eating in an area here, please let me know right away. I can follow up and see if there was an issue, or just an isolated person. We do locally source many of our products, but chicken is not one that is available in the quantities we need unfortunately. All the chicken we use (other than the frozen chicken strips which go direct into the fryer) is actually pre-cooked for food safety reasons…we don’t cook raw chicken. I would love to keep Fresh Tracks open later…but please understand that transportation for our employees is the major issue…they need to be able to get on the 4 or 5:15 bus. To be open all night is not practical due to the low volume of business. I hope you noticed that when we had the peak day shuttle, we did keep FT open until 6p most Saturdays, and HG was open until 6:15p on most Saturdays.
