More drills for setting up FZL on clc side and for ballroom carpet and butter cup.
Thanks I will check in with Learning Center Management to see if we can get the needed drills.

We purchased more drills and had the drills with frozen chucks fixed.

I love working at the Nordic Center. Everyone there is so nice, including our new supervisor, Debbie. I wish more employees from the main resort would come visit us. It's really fun! There is a whole different crowd at Nordic. Our area is beautiful and well groomed, and we are laid back and friendly. Come over!
Thanks for the positive comment. This is a great reminder that I need to make it to the Nordic Center more often.

I’d like to address the response on the hot wax and quick wax services in the HPC “We did reduce the price of the quickwax this season based on feedback from the team last year and we will compare hot wax prices with other shops to see how ours compares.” In the 2016/17 season, the prices were $10 and $20, for quick and hot waxes respectively. In the 2017/18 season those prices were doubled. Price increase is understandable, but this was blatantly obvious and painful for both customers and our tech team. The quick wax option was not reduced, but rather returned to a reasonable price. We all know there is no change in the service that would require that price jump. We care tremendously about our customers, and I do not feel that this is right or inline with our service core value. Please do check local (and even non local) pricing, you will see why this is an on going issue. If you need help pulling information, please see me in the HPC, I have all of it ready to be presented.
Thanks for sharing your feedback on this and for reaching out to provide the research on pricing of our competitors. I have started the conversation with the retail management team and I hope through discussion we can all get aligned on what the ideal price should be for our resort.

I keep hearing from my supervisors and manager how much value my job provides me, but the math just isn't working out.
I come to work a scheduled shift, but instead of inspiring life long love of the sport, I get asked to sit around for hours to help do a bunch of manual labor for an hour of minimum wage. Not enough to even cover the cost of gas to drive up to the hill. I won't even earn a buddy pass for the day because I didn't teach.
The biggest reason I chose to work at Meadows was to train with my mentors. They are now all too busy with corporate work and life to ever come out and ski. So if I want great training and education, I have to book privates with them or look outside Meadows.
So this extra job I used to consider an extracurricular activity is becoming a chore that pays worse than a paper route. And when I mention anything to my managers, all I get is a lecture on how much value this job provides me.
I'm sorry to hear this season is not meeting your expectations. We have been taking strides to maximize instructor's opportunities to teach by attempting to allow instructors to self schedule themselves on days when we know we'll need instructors. Teaching opportunities depend on business levels, and we do give our full time instructors first priority on teaching as this is usually their primary source of income. Our part time instructor team members do tend to have more gaps in their paid time on slower days. However, if you are a part time instructor and really want to teach, please share this information with the lineup supervisor, so we can try to get you a lesson or the opportunity to rove and assist with other lessons, when business levels allow.
Many part time instructors are stoked to be able to teach lessons, but also know their part time commitment is to be available to teach or assist with other duties on their scheduled days/shifts. The instructor team is responsible for daily Fun Zone setup, tear down, boot fitting, greeting, etc.
Many of the benefits to being an instructor are the All Access Pass benefits and the training opportunities. Recently I have had the opportunity to lead evening clinics for aspiring Level II and Level III candidates - maybe we got to ski together during the last few weeks?
"Work a Day" vouchers (you called them Buddy Passes) are given to those instructors who pickup a shift that we have specifically requested instructors work (even if you don't end up getting a lesson on that day). We have put out the request for additional help on Sundays as well as Saturday Nights to teach during the Toyota Go for the Snow Night lessons. These shifts, if you are not already scheduled, would count towards a Word a Day voucher.
Be sure to check the MHM Instructor Portal for upcoming clinics. On the individual clinic page you will see the names of those who are signed up, which also includes the clinic leader's name. Our instructor trainer team includes Kathleen Priest (PSIA-NW Adaptive DCL and Examiner), Holly Tencer (PSIA-NW Alpine DCL and Examiner), Jenn Lockwood (PSIA-NW Technical Team Member), Katie Feucht (PSIA-NW Alpine DCL), Brian Feucht (MHM Alpine Trainer), Michael Birch-Jones (PSIA-NW Alpine DCL), John May (PSIA-NW Technical Team and Alpine Examiner), Kelly Howle (PSIA-NW Snowboard DCL), Kyle Skutch (PSIA-NW Snowboard DCL), Shane Coffey (MHM Snowboard Trainer), Alex Pugliese (MHM Snowbaord Trainer) and myself (PSIA-NW Technical Team and Alpine Examiner) among others like Tara Seymour (PSIA-NW Alpine DCL) and Brad Jacobson (PSIA-NW Technical Team and Alpine Examiner), Dave Barringer (MHM Alpine Trainer), Greg DeHaven (MHM Alpine Trainer). I'm sharing these names so that you know who they are and can hopefully ski with any of them. There are many other talented trainers who you should also consider going out with on clinics when you can. Yes, Jeremy Riss, Chris Kastner and I are getting out a bit less than usual, however March is just around the corner and I hope we'll have more time to connect with instructors in clinics!

Thanks for the parking pass for my night shifts!!! I had to come in 2 hours before my shift started to ensure I could find a place to park in time for my shift!
Thanks for the feedback. Employee parking for night shift staff has been a challenge. Thanks for your patience as we try out new solutions. Also, I will put you to work early if your amazing preparedness finds you here early on peak days. Talk to me about how we can utilize your extra unexpected availability when you arrive early.
