Cash registers that are more ergo friendly - not everyone is 4'10" and the keyboards are way to low...
So sorry for not being available for recent shifts; the creeping crud has Hood River county in its grips! Geez the shelves of cold meds at Walmart in Hood River are almost bare! Other than that it's an awesome experience so far; being able to work at a premier ski resort has been a dream of mine for many years. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to be part of the team!
Great job to all. Thank you for keeping our mountain open. There is so much done by so many every day. Thank you. Thank you all.
I feel like the tool going missing and people stealing so often and the unreliability of a lot of current employees is the byproduct of not having the right work/life environment.
I feel like if Meadows put some money into a plot of land in government camp or near parkdale for summit style apartments that could house say at least 40 employees, it would go a long way with reliability.
Currently, a lot are just passing through or even quitting because they can't afford a commute from Sandy or hoodriver on top of expensive rent.
If Meadows has some affordable housing (turns for Tennants doesn't work! No one wants to pay $800 per month for a room in white salmon) I'm confident that there would be more reliable employees, because there is actually a future for them and it makes it practical to commute from parkdale.
Please, focus on housing, that's like the number one issue for remote jobs like this, govy is a land of condos and Air bnb that is driving out some of us.
As a company-wide strategy, housing is something we are indeed looking at as a way to help the team in multiple ways (security, retention, commute time, community). I think 40 units would be a good start, but not enough; ideally we'd like to be closer to being able to house 100+ of the team, using a variety of apartments, dorm-style units, and a bunkhouse (for part timers who commute from afar and only need a night/week). There are many land use, county permitting, and financial issues to deal with before we start building, so we are exploring several possibilities in the meantime such as acquiring, leasing, partnering - everything is on the table. We know that T4T is only a small part of the solution, and are looking to revamp the program next year to aim for lower rents - it may mean we lose a few of our 50+ landlords but at this point it is the clear next step now that the program has grown to aim for affordability over quantity. I agree it is vital; please be patient in knowing it has been recognized as a need for the perpetual stoke.

Only personal use the elevator that is closes to the break room.
I would like to know why mhm did not hire a local food truck for the hrm area? It would be great to support a local business instead of a already hugely successful pdx restaurant. Also, are they ever open? We’re all in this together to try and piece the seasons together in hr county. Mhm supporting local businesses is really something we should value. Thanks in advance for your time and response.
We had planned on having 80/20 fine foods back at MHM this season and a different opportunity came up for them at the last minute, so we had a short window to find another vendor. Pok Pok had previously approached us and their food adds a nice diversity to our offerings. So it seemed like the right fit given the time constraints and so far we seem to be getting very positive feedback.

I would like to just say how great everyone I work with is! We do a lot of revenue and services between the Outerlimits and HPC ! In addition, a lot of behind the scenes efforts to make the stores function. We have such a great leadership team and such a great group of new and returning team members. I really love working with all of you. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing the positive vibe, there have been continued improvements each season in retail and the team always seems so positive and welcoming to guests. It is awesome to see.
