Just more snow and more of the mountain open.
I think it’s ridiculous that meadows is building an expensive new lodge but can’t seem to build some simple employee housing. So many employees are forced to live out of their cars or couch surf or scrape by commuting up to 2 hours every day. Some simple dorm style housing would be affordable for both meadows and employees. OR offer a better turns for tenants program. Make a rent cap or offer a better incentive for the people offering housing. The rent cost is just the same as it would be anywhere else and these people still get to ride with a deal. I don’t think it would be that big of a deal to give these people a unrestricted pass and make a rent cap of $500 a month.
This is a great way of creating transparency and encouraging communication among all involved with Meadows. Thanks for doing it!
Thanks. I agree. -Tyler Barnes, Learning Center Operations Manager
I wish our benefits were made a little bit clearer. I absolutely LOVE working here! But I would also love to be able to use all of the benefits offered to me so I can enjoy my time here even more. I just feel bad pestering my boss every time I want to use something, and when they tell me verbally at the beginning of my shift I 9/10 always forget by the end of the day. Is there some sort of guide or something (physical/online) that shows us how to go about the great perks of working here? Ex: how do we go about using our discounts here and places in Hood River? Where in Hood River do we receive discounts? How do we go about getting buddy tickets? How do we go about doing mountain exchange? Other then that, everything and everyone here is awesome!
Great to be back after a year off. Let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience better on the mountain this season.
I like this new survey sight. Great upgrade. Glad we are open and getting new snow. Happy to see the halls filled with team members
stoked about the snowfall on the mtn! everyone at Hood Meadows seems real warm and freindly.
