Bring back breakfast burritos in the schuss,or get us a taco truck.overtime after 49 hrs would be cool too.

Management Response

Thanks for the comments. Sorry you favorite item is not on this year's menu. We do have three different Breakfast Burritos on the Breakfast menu this year...we just are calling them "Wraps". They are getting great reviews from both guests and employees. - Mark Fellows

Bring back the breakfast burrito. New options are lame.

Plastic straws in our break room do not at all align with sustainability. Maybe wooden coffee stirrers instead or washable/reusable spoons?

Also how about an "open slowly" sign on the inside of the Eastern most door that leads to the parking lot? I have both almost taken someone out by opening that door too fast and have almost been taken out myself.

Management Response

Agree that plastic straws do not align with sustainability, however just throwing out plastic straws that we are phasing out also does not align with our core values. We have some plastic stars left over that we’re opting to finish up but not order any more. Culinary Services has gone to paper straws in all guest facing areas and we are simply using up what we have left over in the Learning Center locker room. If you have a better suggestion on how we can dispose of / recycle these straws please let us know. We have a, “Open Door Slowly” on the inside of the Instructor Room, that I read every time I exit that door – thanks for the suggestion on similar signage on the North Snout doors – Tyler Barnes, Learning Center Operations Manager (edited by Jeremy Riss)

It was very disappointing to come to orientation and see the same old uniforms again this year. After all the info last year about new uniforms it was even worse to get the old ones again, also at this point they are so ratty looking that I feel really unprofessional going out to meet clients. I would rather have to pay some sort of fee or wear my own clothes at this point (or buy something of my own that I was allowed to wear). The uniforms have some fit and functionality issues but add to that how used and damaged they are and it's really difficult to feel like you look professional out on the hill.

Management Response

Please see my previous reply. If the uniform piece you have is not meeting expectations let’s see if there is another one that is in better condition. As mentioned previously, the Learning Center management team is opting to wear the DNA (older) uniform pieces over the Helly Hansen garments. My DNA uniform looks great and I just took what I received from HR. I did however have one that the Velcro was wearing out on the cuff and asked for a different coat mid-last-season, and HR was accommodating. If you prefer to wear your own pants (black or grey) you may do so. Next season we should be fully into the Helly Hansen uniform pieces. Thanks for pushing through one more season as we transition to the new uniforms. – Tyler Barnes, Learning Center Operations Manager

I have mentioned this before and guess it needs to be repeated. The terrain park people should do a better job of trimming up their rope lines. Those long bunny ears or dangles off of knots just looks sloppy. It's an easy fix.
I carry cutters and spend some time cleaning them up when time allows, but it seems to make sense that when you marry two rope lines, you trim them up.
