I have had a great season and looking forward to summer but just feeling the slow down of spring especially from how crazy the start of the season was for me. I have mixed emotions about coming to the mountain to work right now because my work load is so light, especially when I have the capability to work remotely. I want to be up at meadows and being a part of the team but feel that I am being under utilized especially midweek at the mountain and would be happy to work in other departments but I don't want to take away work from other team members especially as we slow down. I would like to take advantage of my ability to work remotely to both give myself the flexibility to start working a second job while also not having the company pay me for time that I am not be utilized. So IF anyone team needs someone to cover breaks I am your man!
curb the on the job drinking in the Alpenstube, could cost the company big money and embarrassment!!
I would like to address Mark Fellow's response to a previous comment about complaints about the food at the Schuss. The Schuss has been consistently and continually disappointing in the several seasons that I have worked at Meadows. I cannot eat the food that comes out of the Schuss. It has made me physically sick more than once. When it doesn't make me sick, it is simply disgusting and extremely disappointing; a complete waste of my money even with the employee discount, so I cannot even begin to imagine how guests feel paying full price . Even the pizza is bad, which is pretty hard to mess up (I can't imagine that looking into sourcing a better frozen pizza would really be that much more of an investment for Meadows). Fellow's response claiming that he has never heard a single complaint about the food at the Schuss from guests or otherwise blows my mind and is completely false. I am embarrassed at our food options and so should he. I would happily support our food and beverage department if it gave me a reason to. Unfortunately, overpriced and inedible food does not incite me to spend my money here.
I believe the point Mark was trying to make is that it would be most helpful to give him specific feedback on what food at what time made you sick or you felt was disappointing so he can address it. Just saying that everything is terrible does not seem accurate and is not the feedback we get from many who eat at the Schuss including myself. But again if you have a bad experience please let Mark know the specifics so he can use that information to improve.
