Get rid of the yellow cats and get all PBs 😁🤪
I love my job! I'd do it for free if I could afford to
I love Lift Ops.
Nothing. Being on the mountain and interacting with my fellow patrollers and other departments this season has been tremendous. There’s a spirit of commitment with everyone I’ve come in contact with.
No comments however I do have a response to a comment left from lift operations last week in regards to early loads and racers.
First of all I am the single employee in our department that has the most interaction with the early loads and racers. In fact I have barely been able to attend morning meetings because I am early loading stadium almost every single day this season thus far.
And I can promise you that the majority of the issues you are having with them can be solved by not walking out of the building with the mindset of of “these guys are jerks”
They are just people here to do a job, just like us, they don’t want to stand around for 45 minutes when they could be setting up a course.they only want to be efficient. It’s our job to accommodate that.
And in regards to the increased workload from early loads. You’re missing out on morning meetings and going straight to the lift, it’s no extra work, it’s just getting to work quicker. I would recommend coming to work better prepared if this is an issue for you.
And it often results in 45 minutes of downtime at the lift before regular opening as only a few coaches are loading.
These problems can be fixed with a better attitude. Don’t hate the race teams. They’ll treat you well if you treat them like human beings.
Thank you for this perspective. Support of competitions and racing is an important part of the service we provide to our guests. We do want to make sure our operations teams are set up for success for these services.

Better music. Last employee dinner wasn't music, and so loud it curtailed any conversation.
Great people at Meadows! I'll be back again.
Wish I could get more hours, just not enough work right now
Lots of change is happening with many complications to explore and plan for.
Overall, very good changes but significant work to implement.
Happy to do it. Wish I had more time.
