I think with Seymour as our mascot, he needs to make himself seem more often with the kids especially during our holiday and spring break camps!
Great idea! We are looking at training more people from other departments to be "Seymour" taking the load of the MLC staff who are often already teaching on peak days.

Please please PLEASE fix the sick time thing. I've worked 7 days per week in December, 6 in January and have been consistently showing up on time every day up until sometime February when I caught the first round of the sickness and had to call in.
I've only had 14 hours saved up (which compared to all other jobs I've worked at, this is hardly pennies for the time I put in) which meant, I had to come in to work sick 2 days later because I ran out of sick time, and I wasn't ready to pick up more shifts, after that December and January I would like some free time to run errands and enjoy my days off.
In my last few jobs, with the hours I put in, I could take 5 days off after working for 3-4 months full time, here I hardly got 14 hours after putting in 50+ hours per week for the first 3 months of the season.
Please do something about the sick time, I hate calling in sick and I never do unless I actually am sick. But I also don't want to have to pick up so many shifts after grinding out December and January, id like to actually enjoy my free time and run some errands on my days off.
Please look into the system, it just doesn't make sense how I've worked so many hours but yet hardly had 2 days worth of sick time in February.
We will be implementing a new system this summer that will allow for team members and managers to see and request the available sick hours through the application either on their phone or on a computer. For this season, I suggest contacting Payroll at 503-337-2222 ext. 1230 to review your accruals and usage to address and correct any discrepancies. For reference, the accrual rate is 1 hour of leave earned for every 30 hours worked.

Bring back Safeway saturday
That was an awesome promotion - $10 night lift tickets and night crowds exceeding 3000! It was crazy and ultimately we determined we weren't providing the experience we wanted to, even though it brought a lot of people up! We moved it to Safeway Sundays and increased the price but it did help us establish nights.
We're still analyzing the data, but it looks like nights was one of the beneficiaries of our dynamic ticket pricing system - a lot of people delayed their arrival on peak days and purchased night tickets. It has been an awesome season for night riding, and as another team member mentioned, we have an awesome night crew led by Jason Roberts!

Hey shuss, please start cooking your breakfast meats. Not trying to get sick from undercooked bacon and getting tired of throwing away food. Cooked bacon should not be as pink and floppy as uncooked bacon.
Thanks for the comments…we will talk with the staff about making the bacon more well done…that is my preference as well. Some folks do like it less crispy. I do want to let you know that the bacon we use is actually pre-cooked, so there is no issue there. Also it is a cured product making it very safe.
