Seasonal Layoffs & Employee Passes

As the end of our 23/24 season draws near, we wanted to keep you in the loop regarding seasonal layoffs and what this means for your employee pass:

  • If you are Laid Off and Eligible for Rehire
    • Your employee lift access, buddy passes, spring stoke vouchers and dependent passes will remain active for the remainder of the 23/24 Season
    • Your discounts on food & retail will be deactivated.
  • If you are Laid Off and are an Ineligible or Conditional Rehire, if you Resign with or without Notice, no matter your rehire status your employee passes, and your dependent passes will be returned completely. This means your lift access and discounts will no longer be active.

If you have any questions regarding your status or further questions regarding pass processes, please reach out to jobs@skihood.com and the HR Team will assist you.

Mt. Hood Meadows Extending The 23/24 Season

Mount Hood, Ore., (March 9th, 2024), Mt. Hood Meadows is thrilled to announce an extension of the ski season, offering skiers and riders extra opportunities to hit the slopes thanks to abundant late-season snowfall. The extension acknowledges Mother Nature’s generosity and underscores our commitment to providing our guests with exceptional ski experiences.

This extended season means that the previously anticipated closing date is pushed back, with operations continuing seven days a week until April 28th, followed by two consecutive weekends of Friday-to-Sunday operations—May 3rd to 5th, May 10th to 12th, and, finally, Friday and Saturday operations on May 17th and 18th.

The full mountain of available terrain will be available to enjoy through May 5th. For the bonus weekends we will have a compact offering of lifts, terrain and food and beverage options. We plan to run Mt. Hood Express, Cascade Express and Buttercup lifts and be open from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. All food and beverage service will be out of the South Lodge.

Help A Friend Learn To Ride/Ski This Spring!

We are excited to announce that all active team members have the opportunity to introduce two friends or family members to skiing or riding this spring at no cost. Each team member has two vouchers on their RTP profile good for a beginner lift ticket (Carpet, Buttercup, Easy Rider, Daisy, and Vista Only), a lesson, and a rental package. The entire package needs to be used together and the pieces cannot be split up and used by different people or at different time periods. You can only use the portions of the package needed but the unused portions cannot be used at another time.

Advanced reservations are highly recommended as it might not be possible to accommodate day of redemptions. You can make reservations at the link below by selecting Redeem Complimentary Product and entering your voucher number if you have it, or your name. Please enter your friend or family member’s name in the participant information fields.

If you have questions, please reach out to mlc@skihood.com and thank you for your hard work this season and for spreading the joy of riding and skiing with others this spring.
