Love early season planning. So many ideas for improvement.
Happy to see season swap and hope this doesn't mean we're going to have a warm January. Happy that a decision was finally made on the VP position and that Mel is part of the VP team. In my anonymous opinion, that promotion means great things will continue to happen with Mountain Operations. Thanks for the needed communication in our new season count down meetings and SWOT sessions, Mel.

Has MHM given any thought to zip lining in the summer? Once it was set up, it would have minimal impact on the environment, and ziplining over some of our beautiful meadows could really increase business in the summer.
Thanks for your comment, it was an awesome summer for sure! We have discussed zip lining at Mt. Hood Meadows. We have also been considering other potential attractions like a high ropes course. At this point we do not have immediate plans for either but they remain possibilities for the future. One project that is approved and moving forward is expanding our hiking trails.

Next summer I think we should consider making it more obvious to the public when we're closed for operations. Ever day I had lunch outside on non- operating days this summer I would have to speak to 3-4 groups of people wandering up to the deck wondering if they can get food and lift tickets and access the facilities for restrooms. A sign at the top of the access road that makes it very obvious that lifts and facilities are closed for the day would help clear things up to the public.
Thank you for the suggestion. I look forward to the time when we are open 7 days a week but I agree until then doing more to inform the guest as they are getting to the parking lot would be helpful.

Now that our summer ops are growing can we establish ticket exchanges with other resorts in the region also in operation?
That is a great suggestion. I will make a note to look into this as next summer approaches. Are there specific resorts you think would be most beneficial to have an exchange with?

If you guys need highly experienced help with trails, I would highly recommend Trail Keepers of Oregon. They're all volunteers and do an incredible job!
Also, for Blue replacement how about we rename it to Wy'East express since we're naming things? I feel like having Mt Hood Express as the old timer right beside the new and more native, traditional Wy'East express fits perfectly. I'm sure Mt Hood will be renamed back to Wy'East in the future to align with native tradition, and why not have Meadows be ahead of the game?

Yes, the last minute addition of the movie on the deck was a huge hit and should be a series next summer! I think many team members have made similar suggestions so I'm glad it finally happened. Overall summer was a huge success and we are finally paving the way to a true year round operation. Big props to everyone involved in the execution and planning of summer ops, it was a real team effort!
