Incoming Snow and Opening Plan

The only thing certain about the weather is that it changes.  Here is the opening outlook (for now):

Snow is on the way.  Looks like it could be up to several feet by end of day Saturday.  Unfortunately, it’s followed by several inches of rain, Sunday continuing into Monday and Tuesday.  We will be working on snow harvesting and hauling as well as prepping the slopes as soon as we get enough snow to do so (Thursday/Friday).  Once it starts raining, we will need to stay off the slopes so that we don’t ruin the fragile snowpack.  If we don’t lose significant amounts of snow, when temperatures cool down next week, we’ll finish prepping and setting up.  We’re hopeful that we’ll open on Friday December 8th.

Once we receive enough snow to get cats on the hill, we will close to all uphill travel.  This will likely happen sometime this Friday if not before.
